Nepal has cancelled a US$2.5 million deal with China Gezhouba Group Corporation to build a 1200MW hydroelectric project on the Budhi Gandaki river, Reuters has reported.
Lapses in the award process were cited as reasons for the cancellation, although no further details were immediately available.
