Energia Basica owns the plant, which is located in the city of Choluteca in southern Honduras.
The facility is expected to be the largest solar project to connect to the country’s national utility grid.
Under the contract, Yingli will deliver about 80,000 large-format YGE 72 Cell Series modules to the project site from October through November 2014.
Interconnection is expected to be carried out during the first quarter of 2015.
The system is expected to generate about 40,000 megawatt-hours annually, enough for about 61,000 Honduran citizens.
Sybac Solar will offer engineering, procurement and construction services for the project.
Yingli Green Energy Americas vice president of international sales Jeffrey Barnett said: "We are thrilled to contribute to Honduras’ largest solar project to date, which will help the country reach its goal of meeting sixty percent of domestic electricity demand with renewable resources by 2020."
