Yingli’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Energy (China), will have 100% economic interest in the projects, which are located in the Baoding and Xingtai cities.

The company is investing around RMB200m ($33m) for the projects, which will be completed and connected to the grid in the third quarter of 2014.

In addition to generating around 28,700 MWh of clean power per year, the project will help offsett the consumption of 9,300 tons of coal and CO2 emissions by about 28,700 tons over the systems’ 25-year lifetime.

Yingli Green Energy chief financial officer Yiyu Wang said the company continues to expand downstream business.

"These projects will further consolidate our leading position in the industry not only as a PV manufacturer, but also as a solar energy solutions provider," added Wang.
