With this acquisition, XcelPlus has become the exclusive supplier of Sunfield solar thermal collectors in the US.
XcelPlus chief operating officer David Poston said that the solar thermal collector is a key component of XcelPlus’ new line of products to retrofit traditional hot water heaters to substantially boost their efficiency.
“Sunfield thermal collectors are well known for quality and performance. These units are durable and efficient, and our installed test units have performed flawlessly. We are preparing to market and sell these systems throughout the southeast,” Poston said.
The purchase of Sunfield marks a diversification for XcelPlus, which has focused on purchasing, blending and selling non-petroleum off-take fuels primarily for industrial boiler applications.
