Finland’s Wärtsilä Corp is being awarded a contract by AzerEnerji, the national energy company of Azerbaijan, for a 300 MW multi-fuel power plant to be located in Sangachal, 50 km south of the capital Baku.
The new plant will consist of eighteen Wärtsilä 50DF gen sets. The signing of the final contract is expected to take place this month, the financial terms for which have not been disclosed.
