Wood Group has secured a $500m contract to provide services to eight offshore platforms, which are part of oil major BP-operated projects offshore Azerbaijan.

Under the five-year contract, the company’s division Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) will provide services including engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) for the platforms. The contract has option of two, two year extensions.

The company will provide services for the offshore platforms including Chirag, Central Azeri – Production Drilling Quarters, Central Azeri – Compression and Water Processing, East Azeri Production Drilling Quarters, West Azeri- Production Drilling Quarters.

Other platforms to be served include Deep Water Gunashli – Drilling & Utility Quarters, Deep Water Gunashli – Pressure Compression and Water Utilities and Shah Deniz Stage 1.

Wood Group Kenny is already providing subsea engineering services to these platforms as part of a contract signed in October 2015 with BP.

This five-year contract also includes support of the existing subsea infrastructure of BP in the Gulf of Mexico, UK and Norwegian continental shelves.
