Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has received one year service contract extension from ConocoPhillips (UK) to support its projects in the North Sea.

Under the $60m contract extension, WGPSN will continue to provide operations and maintenance services, and facilities modification services to ConocoPhillip’s 50 offshore assets in the Southern and Central North Sea and the onshore Theddlethrope gas terminal in Lincolnshire, England.

The contract extension will be implemented with immediate effect and will be supported by 150 onshore and 280 offshore people in the UK.

Wood Group PSN UK managing director Dave Stewart said the company is working with ConocoPhillips (UK) for over 20 years.

"The ConocoPhillips project is a key contract in our UK portfolio and we are pleased to receive this extension and further enhance our reputation with a major international company," Stewart added.

The project is one of WGPSN’s longest running and most complex projects that is spread across 50 manned and unmanned facilities in the North Sea.

ConocoPhillips first awarded WGPSN the contract in 1992.
