The wind project was awarded a Feed-in Tariff power contract by the Ontario Power Authority in April last year.
Wind Works is required to fund all development costs of about $1m which includes interconnection to the HONI power grid.
The company, which will organize the project’s construction, will also be required to finance the project after renewable energy approval by getting necessary debt financing for the facility.
Wind Works president and CEO Ingo Stuckmann said that the company is looking to increase its project portfolio in Ontario, a market with a progressive feed-in tariff system whereby the government offers a 20-year power contract.
