The Saddle Hill Wind Farm proposal calls for the construction of 22 wind turbines of 2MW each and the site is situated within the local authority areas of Angus Council and Perth & Kinross Council.
The project is estimated to generate 100,600MWh of electricity per annum, which is enough to power around 23,000 homes and curb 61,064 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
The company is currently undertaking a wide range of environmental studies to design the most appropriate layout for the proposed wind farm site and then will submit a planning application.
The developers will hold a ‘Meet the Developer’ at Kilry Village Hall on 26 September 2013 to present the wind farm proposal to the local community.
Saddle Hill proposal project manager Rory Carmichael said that the developers will present their plans during the event and seek feedback from the local populace.
"We dedicate our time and expertise in considering a site to decide if it’s the right place to locate a wind farm. The studies we have carried so far suggest that the Saddle Hill site could be a suitable location for a wind farm.
"We are in the early stages of developing the proposal and are keen to ensure that feedback is taken into account and reflected in the final design where possible to create a wind farm that is considered acceptable by people in the local area," added Carmichael.
