PaR Nuclear, a Westinghouse Electric Company subsidiary, has received a contract to provide refuelling equipment upgrades for the units at Ulchin 3 & 4 in South Korea.
The contract, from Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co, includes modifications to the refuelling machine, fuel transfer system, and spent fuel machine. Engineering design will begin immediately with manufacturing to start in early 2007 and the first sets of equipment to be delivered in mid-2007. Field installation is scheduled to start in the early autumn of 2007.
