The Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) has given clearance to Vector Resources’ mining proposal Gwendolyn East Cutback Gold Project near Southern Cross.

The proposal was submitted in December 2012.

Vector Resources has also been granted required permits to clear native vegetation under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 from the DMP.

With the latest approval and permit, Vector can now finalize the review of its mining options and go ahead with awarding contracts in order to commence output and cash-flow.

Vector said that it is reviewing a variety of options for the Gwendolyn project, including phase one high-grade toll-treatment operation, which will have the benefit of incurring low capital expenditure while creating early cash flow.
