The project is expected to a catalyst for the growth of grid based solar power in the region.
Speaking of the contract Waaree Group chairman Hitesh Doshi said, "It is the first MW scale Thin-film Solar Power Project to be built in Maharashtra and it is our honour and represents an important milestone for us."
Waaree Energies has a 100MW manufacturing capability per annum and provides designing, manufacturing and commissioning services besides technical and maintenance support.
