Waaree, a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules and solar power EPC contractor, has completed a 10MW solar PV project in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Monosteel India awarded the ground-mounted solar power project to Waaree for designing, procurement, installation and commissioning.

The seasonal tilt technology is used to enhance the performance of the power plant.

About 20.5 million units per year will be produced by the solar plant, which spans across 60 acres of land.

Waaree’s 40,000 multi-crystalline solar PV modules are used for the project.

The electricity produced by the facility will replace carbon emission equivalent of around 10,754 tons, an equivalent of removing pollution caused by emission of around 11,000 cars every year.

The facility has been constructed under the Gujarat State Solar Power Policy 2009 and the Power Purchase Agreement, which is for 25 years.
