voith-siemens Hydro Power Generation, which is majority (65%) held by Voith, will see the ownership balance remain the same when it changes its name.
The JV was established in 2000 to provide a combined offering of turbines and generators to the market. It is a division within the Voith group, and its order volume increased by a quarter over the last year to stand at almost Euro1.4B (US$1.8B) today.
Chairman of Voith Hydro, Roland Muench, said of the firms’ work through the JV: ‘We have been able to substantially develop our competencies within the joint venture.’
