Delivery and installation of the turbines is scheduled to be completed in late 2011. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a 15-year service agreement.
The project named Gotland Repowering is a joint enterprise between the three parties – Nasudden Vast Invest, Slitevind and Stugyl.
Klaus Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe, said: “Vestas’ long-term relationship and commitment to developers on Gotland has made this contract possible. We are especially happy to have Nasudden Vast Invest, Slitevind and Stugyl as partners in this, and the extended service agreement shows a trust in Vestas as a long-term provider. This is Vestas’ largest project on Gotland so far.”
