The order comprises supply and commissioning of the wind turbines and a three-year service and maintenance agreement. Vestas will start delivery of the 33 turbines in mid-2009 and expects to complete commissioning in the second half of 2009.
With Suez’s acquisition of the Canadian wind operator and developer Ventus Energy, the company now manages a portfolio of 25 wind energy development projects in a number of provinces in eastern Canada. Vestas noted that the portfolio includes close to 2,000MW of electricity generation in various stages of development.
