Both projects are located 150km northeast of Chifeng in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Province of China. These contracts include supply of the turbines and towers, the VestasOnline Business supervisory control and data acquisition solution, and a two-year maintenance and service agreement.
Datang Chifeng Renewable Power is a subsidiary of China Datang, a wind power developer. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin at the 2008 year-end, with completion expected during the first half of 2009.
Thorbjorn Rasmussen, president of Vestas Asia Pacific, said: The Chifeng area in Inner Mongolia has some of the richest wind resources in China, and Vestas has a long experience dealing with the local conditions in the area.
