Denmark-based wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won an order from from Enel Green Power North America to supply wind turbines for a 200MW power project in Kansas, US.

The order includes delivery and commissioning of 111 units of the V90-1.8MW turbine, with a five-year service and maintenance agreement.

The company will supply the wind turbines in the second half of this year and commissioning is expected in late 2011.

Enel Green Power North America, in collaboration with Trade Wind Energy, is developing the Caney River project in Elk County.

Vestas Colorado-based factories will be engaged in manufacturing the blades and towers, as well as nacelle and hub assembly, for the Caney River project.
