The Danish wind turbine manufacturer will supply, install and commission 30 units of the V100-2MW wind turbine.

The contract also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a five-year service and maintenance agreement with the Active Output Management package AOM 5000.

The turbines are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2012, and the power projects are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2013.

The wind farms will generate approximately 315GWh of electricity annually, enough energy to cover the annual residential electricity consumption of almost 632,785 people in Brazil.

The AOM 5000 is Vestas’ new service product optimizing wind power plant output and minimizing customer risk, the company said.
