Vestas will supply 40 units each with a generating capacity of 2MW for the projects including, Olho D’agua, Sao Bento do Norte and Farol located at Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil.
The order includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a ten-year service and maintenance agreement with the Active Output Management package ‘AOM 4000’.
The company plans to start the delivery of the turbines in the third quarter of next year and the projects are expected to be completed in December 2012.
