As per the agreed terms, the company will supply 17 units of the V100-2.0MW turbines to be installed at the wind farm.

Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2013 and the project is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2013.

Vestas Wind Systems chief sales officer Juan Araluce remarked that the two companies had a common vision for the development of renewable wind energy generation in Italy.

"We are also proud to provide our experience and quality in being a full-service partner to ERG Renew as we support their vision to further develop Italy’s wind energy sector," added Araluce.

The supply contract also includes the installation and commissioning of the turbines together with a VestasOnline Business SCADA system.

The Palazzo San Gervasio wind farm will produce 97GWh of electricity per annum and reduce 39,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
