Under the contract, Vestas will deliver, install and commission 13 units of V90-2MW wind turbine for the power project.

The order also includes a ten-year operation and maintenance agreement.

Vestas will start supplying the wind turbines in the first half of next year, and the project will be completed in the third quarter of 2012.

The wind power plant has a total estimated production capacity of 56,000MWh per year.

The plant will deliver enough power to cover the residential electricity consumption of about 55,000 people in Italy.

Sea Spa is managed by Repower, a Swiss utility generating electricity at its own plants in Switzerland, Italy and Germany.
