Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has secured supply contract from Rabbalshede Kraft for two wind projects in Årjäng, Värmland and Skaveröd in Uddevalla, Sweden.

As per the contract, Vestas will deliver, install, and commission 33 V112-3.0MW totaling energy capacity of 99MW. In addition, the contract includes eight-year Active Management Output (AOM) 5000 service agreement and the Vestas Optical Collision Avoidance System (OCAS) solution.

Commenting on the alliance, Rabbalshede Kraft CEO Thomas Linnard said that the company selected Vestas as wind turbine supplier for two wind parks in Årjäng and Skaveröd.

"It is with great confidence and expectations we are now entering into this long-term strategic partnership where we can utilise this deal to further enhance our joint future opportunities," added Linnard.

Vestas is expected to install the first turbine in the second quarter of 2014.
