A Mexican customer placed an order for 30 units of the V100-1.8 MW wind turbines totaling 54MW capacity with delivery expected to commence in the middle of 2013.

Scope of this contract includes delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of the turbines alongside a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a 15-year service and availability agreement.

The second order is under a three-year 184MW supply framework with a Danish wind developer wherein the delivery of the first 17MW has now been agreed.

The turbines will be delivered to the customer in 2013 along with a 15-year service agreement under the active output management option.

Vestas has refrained from highlighting the names of the customers, projects and sites in both cases.

Commenting on the agreed framework, Vestas’ Nordic region vice president of sales Krister Poole Jönsson remarked that the transaction is a testament to the company’s strength in the local wind market.

"Signing this strategic agreement to deliver wind turbines over three years in Denmark shows the wind market in Denmark remains strong and our customers are committed to working together with Vestas," said Jönsson.
