The 99 MW order includes two wind power plants, La Mesa (49.5 MW) and Ciudad Victoria (49.5 MW).

Vestas Mediterranean president Marco Graziano said: "Only a few weeks ago, we received a 149 MW order for the Tres Mesas wind project, also to be located in Tamaulipas.

"With this new wind farm, Vestas strengthens its position in the Mexican market and confirms its commitment to developing the wind energy sector in this country."

Under the contract, Vestas will be responsible for supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines.

In addition, the deal includes a 15-year full-scope Vestas Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement.

The delivery of wind turbine is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of this year, while commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.
