Vestas has received an order for delivery of 21 units of its V90-3.0 MW turbine from the Dutch consortium Growind, consisting of 21 private investors. The contract includes delivery, installation, commissioning, and a service agreement for 10 years.

The 63 MW project will be located near the port of Eemshaven in the very northern part of the province of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Delivery of the turbines will start at the end 2007, and the wind power plant will be completed during the second quarter of 2008. The wind power plant is estimated to produce 190 GWh per year.
