The City of Chicago Since deployment earlier 2009, and enforcement in February, Verdiem’s SURVEYOR has already enabled the City of Chicago to lessen PC energy consumption by more than 30% and eliminate more than 300 thousand pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

The City of Honolulu, Since deployment and enforcement across 1700 of the City’s 4500 PCs in July 2008, Verdiem’s SURVEYOR has saved the City of Honolulu $30 per PC per year, reducing PC energy costs by more than 30%. As a result, the city has also attained a return on investment from its SURVEYOR purchase within 8 months of use.

At thirty cents per kilowatt hour, The City of Honolulu is paying the energy rates in the country so we deployed Verdiem’s PC power management solutions as a key component of our Green-IT initiative and it’s already paying dividends, said Gordon Bruce, director/chief information officer for the City of Honolulu. King county, Since deployment in October 2007, Verdiem’s SURVEYOR has enabled King county’s agencies to reduce energy consumption by an average of 38% and eliminate more than 3 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

Networked PCs definitely consume the majority of our office energy requirements.
