The contract follows field trials where DrillEdge was used to identify and avoid wellbore stability issues which previously led to stuck pipe.
The DrillEdge software will be deployed on all of the 36 rigs currently working for PDO.
Verdande CEO Lars Olrik said the full scale deployment of DrillEdge will deliver great benefit to PDO which is looking to drive operational efficiencies and improve drilling performance by reducing non-productive time.
PDO plans to utilize DrillEdge both at the rig-site and remotely from office locations, and this deployment is designed to improve rig-to-office communications.
