As per the agreement, Cemex will supply 120,000 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete, and 24-hour shift operations from a specially installed mobile plant that will be located at the worksite.
The €385m project is located in the Carinthian Mountains in a mountain cavern, which is 1,600 meters above the sea level.
Cemex Austria president Markus Stumvoll said that the company would work closely with its clients to provide customized construction solutions for the highest project site in the Southern Alps in Austria.
"We are very proud to be part of this project that will improve the wellbeing of many Austrians," added Stumvoll.
The company has claimed that the height of the project and severe weather conditions at the site among other challenges makes the project a complex project.
