VayuSap is an elite Pongamia plantation, which is in turn a modified planting material used in the production of biofuels with the cluster expected to create investment oppurtunities of $2.5m.

The company will develop a sustainable and replicable business model; the initial phase will involve the creation of a 2,000a footprint with domestic participation.

In the long term goal, the company and its local partners seek to create a biofuel cluster and replicate a certain scale of footprint in 100,000 acres.

VayuGrid CEO Doug Peterson said that VayuGrid is bringing together local and global businesses that are dependent on crude and looking for ways to hedge against currency fluctuations while ensuring a predictable supply of green energy.

"Our biofuel clusters ensure a sustainable biofuel supply for downstream markets and high returns for governments, land owners and investors," Peterson added.
