The plants off the west coast of Jutland would provide a capacity of 350MW.
In September, Vattenfall won a tender for the two coastal wind farms, one of 180MW at Vesterhav Syd and one of 170MW capacity at Vesterhav Nord. The winning bid was 0.05 EUR (0.63 SEK) per kWh.
The parliamental approval allows the company to start procurement of the main components and services. It intends to begin construction in 2019 and to generate first power in 2020.
The company will also enter into contracts with ship operators for installing the foundations and turbines.
The projects will be built on a distance up to nearly 10 km from the coast. In comparison, the company's wind farm at Horns Rev 3, is situated 12 km from the coast.
Vattenfall CEO and president Magnus Hall said: "We are really pleased that the Government and a majority in the Folketing has now confirmed that we can start building these near shore wind farms.
“This means that Vattenfall will further strengthen its position as a leading wind power producer in Denmark.
"At the same time it means more affordable renewable electricity for the Danish population and a quicker route to making Denmark independent of fossil fuels.”
