The 3.6MW turbine is the first of 80 to be installed at the wind farm.

The Pacific Osprey vessel is carrying the installation work, which has the ability to carry components of up to 11 turbines in one trip.

Vattenfall intends to complete the installation of turbines in around five months, depending on weather conditions.

Once complete, DanTysk will have enough capacity to power about 400,000 homes with clean energy.

In February 2014, VSMC, a joint venture between VolkerWessels and Boskalis, secured a contract from DanTysk Offshore Wind for completing installation and termination of infield cables for the DanTysk offshore wind farm.
