VA TECH HYDRO HAS BEEN awarded a contract for a new hydroelectric plant, Klong Thong Plen, in Thailand.
The order was placed by ST Power Engineering Co Ltd and will involve va-tech-hydro supplying state-owned Department of Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) 2 x 4.9MW plant with a package of Compact Hydro equipment.
The scope of supply includes two compact Francis turbines, governors, inlet valves and synchronous generators. Supervision of erection and commissioning will also be provided.
This is the first project VA Tech Hydro has conducted for ST Power Engineering.
