Romanian plant to get extension from Austrian hydro giant
Austrian hydroelectric equipment maker VA Tech Hydro is to build a €135 million gas-fired CCGT in Bucharest, Romania. SC Electrocentrale Bucuresti awarded the expansion contract of the existing Bucuresti Vest plant with financing from Societe General.
The contract includes the complete electrical systems and instrumentation and control, all auxiliary plant units and structural engineering. Commercial terms were not disclosed.
