The low cost system provides companies with a measurement and verification tool to assess them in taking decisions to reduce energy consumption by at least 27%.
It is designed to evaluate each circuit on the distribution board and give a detailed picture of energy usage in parts of a building individual rooms as well as individual pieces of equipment or circuits.
Utilitywise CEO Geoff Thompson said: "As businesses face increasing energy costs, it is more important than ever to ensure energy usage is being monitored carefully and our management system will allow customers to immediately identify any trends, anomalies or unforeseen changes in energy consumption, while being quick and easy to install."
The product secured patent in the US last year, and has moved one step further with the latest European endorsement.
With the energy monitoring system, businesses identify where, when and how energy is consumed on site, unusual, unexpected, or above average levels of consumption as well as understand actions to be taken for lower carbon footprint.
The latest development comes after the company’s recent acquisition of t-mac Technologies.
Utilitywise said it will be able to better serve its customers using t-mac technology for monitoring and controlling commercial energy usage.
