Bentonville will integrate Mueller’s Mi.Net System with its current billing software to connect all the water and electric meters across its service area into a single network data and improve the operational efficiencies of the utilities and improve customer service.
Bentonville city billing and collections manager Gary Wilson said, "Mueller Systems was the only company that was able to offer a complete solution for our water and electric system that would integrate with our existing billing system and provide immediate outage notification and leak alerts, real time modeling data for our Engineering Department and the ability to more efficiently track water loss."
The city will implement the Mi.Net Mueller Infrastructure Network for Utilities- its advanced two-way AMI network–and replace all of its water and electric meters with the company’s Hersey water meters.
The Mi.Net System can produce meter reading when demanded, gives e-mail alerts and alarms based on the real-time information and helps the utilities manage the water and electric resources better by accessing the data.
Bentonville will replace the solid-state electric meters from Landis+Gyr which feature Mi.Node E–a radio transmitter from Mueller Systems to facilitate two-way communications between the meters and the Mi.Net System.
