The loan will enable the company to purchase 5,700 solar-panel generators that other companies will install on homeowners rooftops in California, Arizona and six other states.
The company will operate the systems and sell the electricity generated to the property owners under long-term contracts.
SunRun also secured a $100m loan last year from a unit of PG&E Corp.
