China’s Sinanjiang river hydro power station is to receive hydro turbines and equipment worth US$9.9M from GE Energy.

Under the terms of the contract, GE’s facility in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, China is to deliver three 67MW Francis turbine-generators, inlet valves, spare parts and provide supervision during the installation process.

Located in Mojiang County, Yunnan province, the Sinanjiang power station will have a total capacity of 201MW once its three units are commissioned in June, September and December 2007.

Yunnan Dianneng Sinanjiang Hydropower Development Co., Ltd., the owner of the project, was established in October 2003 by Yunnan Energy Holding Co. Ltd., Yunnan Investment Co. Ltd. and Mojiang County Power Company.
