Two reverse circulation drill holes that were 3.1km apart as well as a core hole drilled 15km to the east, confirmed multiple graphite bearing beds between 15 to 25m thickness with about 4.13% graphite yielding potential.

The same graphitic units were found in three surface outcrop exposures spanning an area of 22 x 10km.

Uranium North Resources president and CEO Mark Kolebaba said, "The thickness, grade and lateral extent of these graphite beds clearly represents a large scale deposit target for the company and depending on the nature of the graphite; this is a very significant discovery."

The flat lying graphitic rocks were intersected in a 60m thick basin scale stratigraphic unit and are expected to extend over a 26 x 8km area based on geological mapping.

Uranium North randomly selected six test samples from two reverse circulation drill holes for analysis to determine the graphitic carbon (Cg) content and the nature and particle size of the graphit.

The Cg content ranges observed at the six samples were 4.13, 3.2, 3.84, 0.6, 3.22 and 3.77, respectively.

The company now plans a 2000 to 3000m drill program with drill hole spacing at 500 to 1000 metros to verify the grade, thickness and lateral extent of the graphite units across the basin.
