The company shipped around 36,000 pounds of U3O8 to ConverDyn’s Metropolis Works Facility in Metropolis, Illinois, which will transfer the product to Uranerz’s utility customer.
First sales agreement was signed by Uranerz with Exelon Generation in 2009 and the second deal with another US utility later that year.
Uranerz Energy plans to make the next shipment of uranium later this quarter.
Uranerz CEO Glenn Catchpole said: "We look forward to reporting production and revenue figures in the next quarter."
Said to be the newest uranium mine in North America, the Nichols Ranch production facility was commissioned on 15 April 2014.
