As part of the deal, both the companies will build and operate two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling 100MW of power production.

The projects will be built on a 420-acre site, situated in Nacaome in the country, according to Upower.

Upower president Enrico Marotta said the two 50MW PPAs, which are the first to be completed by UPI, serve as a tremendous start for the company.

"We look forward to working with WTEC and the Honduran government to make these projects a reality," Marotta added.
