Multi-utility company United Utilities has appointed a new managing director to head its renewable energy operation.
Douglas Coleman took the helm of United Utilities Green Energy Ltd at the beginning of October 2002. The company is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy developers in small-scale hydro schemes.
Coleman joins the company after eight years in Denmark where he was part of the executive team of FLS Industries, one of Scandinavia’s largest quoted engineering companies.
Previously, Coleman was a regional director on the board of Biwater Treatment, where he headed up the group’s European environmental business interests.
