The boost in income for the first nine months of 2007 was primarily due to the improved operating performance of the ethylene-polyethylene chain, in which PQU, Riopol and Polietilenos Uniao operate.
Uniao de Industrias Petroquimicas’s (UNIPAR) enhanced operating performance was underlined by the 52% increase in consolidated EBITDA, which reached R$316.8 million in first nine months of 2007.
Net income totaled R$46.6 million in Q3 2007, higher than the R$41.4 million recorded in the previous quarter.
