The proposed plant will consist of the main following elements:
— Wastewater treatment: pre-treatment, primary treatment, activated sludge system with sludge/liquid membrane separation (i.e. membrane bioreactor technology) including biological nutrient removal;
— Sludge handling and treatment: mechanical pre-thickening, anaerobic mesophilic sludge digestion (depending on availability of funds) and final dewatering with either filter presses or centrifuges.
The tenders will be opened in public session on August 31, 2009 at 12h30 GMT (15h30 local time) by the Evaluation Committee appointed for the purpose.
The Tenderer’s designated representative is required to attend the obligatory pre-proposal clarification Conference at Ledra Palace Hotel in the United Nations buffer zone, Nicosia, Cyprus at 10:00 am local time on 6 July 2009
