Ukraine’s Minister of Fuel and Energy, Ivan Plachkov, says that Ukraine will offer Afghanistan its services in designing and constructing small hydroelectric power plants.

According to the Interfax news agency, Plachkov said in mid-January that a Ukrainian delegation would visit Afghanistan in early February to discuss co-operation in the field of hydroelectricity production. He added that Ukraine has enormous potential in designing and producing hydroelectricity generating technologies.

Ukraine is also interested in producing equipment for hydroelectric power plants in Croatia and Georgia.
