Subsequent to that survey the company has also completed mapping, rock chip and soil sampling over parts of the cleared area.
U3O8 Limited has also been notified of the grant of exploration licence 09/1213, part of the Mango Bore Joint Venture, and adjacent to the company’s Wabli Creek tenement situated in the Gascoyne district of Western Australia. Drilling by U3O8 Limited on the Wabli Creek tenement has identified high grade uranium mineralisation in calcrete, with results including: 2.58 metres at 877 ppm U3O8, 1.34 metres at 697 ppm U3O8, 3.04 metres at 554 ppm U3O8 and 2.54 metres at 431 ppm U3O8.
The company has applied for four exploration tenements totaling about 390 km2 in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. The tenement applications fall into the area of influence of the Northern Star – U3O8 Limited East Kimberley Joint Venture.
As previously announced, U3O8 Limited has also applied for a mining lease over its Dawson Hinkler uranium deposit, south of Wiluna in Western Australia. The company has identified over 20 million tonnes of ore containing in excess of 10 million pounds of U3O8. The company expects to complete a series of pits at Dawson Hinkler in the near future in an effort to collect bulk metallurgical and engineering samples.
