Triunfo Participacoes e Investimentos has secured approval to increase the assured generating capacity of the Salto hydroelectric plant in Brazil to 67.8MW.
The company has obtained the Energy Planning and Development Secretariat’s authorization to increase the facility’s assured capacity by 4MW.
The hydroelectric plant has an installed capacity of 116MW and belongs to Rio Verde Energia, a company controlled by Triunfo.
According to Triunfo, the additional energy generated by the facility may be sold on the free market.
Triunfo operates in the infrastructure sector in the highway, port logistics and power generation segments.
