The operator is planning to suspend the open hole portion of the test well and set a cement plug across the base of the intermediate casing to facilitate future assessment of one zone of potential interest that flowed natural gas during the drilling operations. Triton Energy has earned a 12.5% working interest in the test well, Section 27-35-11W5M and 10 additional contiguous sections of land.

Triton Energy presently plans to drill two net operated wells starting in June 2009, following breakup. One of these wells will be situated in the South Sullivan Lake region targeting medium gravity oil in the Ellerslie formation at a depth of about 1,200m. The second well will be situated in the Newton region targeting natural gas in the Ellerslie and Sparky formations at a depth of about 1,225m.

In addition, Triton Energy has been and will carry on reviewing potential acquisition opportunities.
