Final preparations are almost complete to start the program, focusing on the Nicanda Hill prospect where a number of graphitic exposures have been identified by reconnaissance geological mapping over a zone roughly 3.75km long.
The diamond drilling program is intended to demonstrate further substantial graphitic and vanadium resources over an additional strike length of about 5kms.
Triton managing director Brad Boyle said Triton, following License 5966 approval, commenced an exploration program on the Nicanda Hill prospect and will to begin a limited diamond drilling program later this week.
"The Company is hoping to build on the high grade Graphite and Vanadium drilling results already obtained at the Cobra Plains prospect within identified 5km mineralization zone," Boyle added.
"Thus, this program has the potential to show a continuity of graphitic mineralization between the Cobra Plains and Nicanda Hill prospects, which would significantly expand the identified mineralization zone up to a total length of about 10kms," Boyle continued.
Additionally, the company has intersected graphite zones at the recently completed diamond drilling program.
The with drill samples will soon to be delivered to the South African laboratory for analysis with results expected by mid December 2013.
