The approval will enable the company to redefine exploration program and to further test the continuity of graphite mineralization between the Cobra Plains prospect on License 5365 and Nicanda Hill prospect on License 5966.
Triton managing director Brad Boyle said the exploration license 5966 approval allows the company to start exploring the highly prospective graphite area of Nicanda Hill prospect.
"Triton will now expand the current exploration program, which has previously been focused on drill testing the 5km long Graphite and Vanadium mineralisation zone at Cobra Plains Prospect, to investigate the Graphite and Vanadium potential, being a long strike to the northeast at the Nicanda Hill Prospect," Boyle added.
Earlier, the company conduct reconnaissance geological mapping and identified a number of graphitic exposures over a zone roughly 3.75km long.
"The Company is hoping to build on the Graphite and Vanadium mineralisation identified at Cobra Plains to date with the expanded exploration program, which will now include the Nicanda Hill Prospect, bringing the Company closer to investigating the potential of the Balama North project to host multiple very large graphite deposits," Boyle continued.
Additionally, Triton will expand the exploration program to include and investigate the additional graphitic zones at the Cobra Plains prospect.
